Hello to all of my faithful blog readers! ;)  I've been away for a good while because we were traveling in CA... As you can see, we hit many of the best art destinations in So Cal!

.

Below are some of the sites that we saw:  First of all, this is the studio of my favorite artist in L.A., named MB.  He was extremely helpful; and he gave me invaluable advice in my pilgrimage as an artist!

.

.

Here you can see the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills (below).  It is one of the most prestigious galleries in the world.

.

.

This is the gallery of Blum and Poe (below) in Culver City.  It is also a top-tier international gallery.  While we walked around inside, we saw Jeff Poe helping his receptionist unpack a computer at the front desk... Pretty exciting man!

,

.

This is the Getty Museum in L.A. (below)... It is a truly inspired architectural icon, but the art there is deficient.

.

.

.

At this point, we became hungry, and we had amazing tortas at the Grand Central Market in Downtown L.A.  (below):

.

.

After eating, we made our way up Angels' Flight (below) to go toward the MOCA.

.

.

Then we bought our tickets for the MOCA.  Despite current massive internal leadership problems, I really enjoyed

their selection of artwork.  I would have loved to have spent more time there!

.

.

After visiting the MOCA, we walked about 1/2 a mile to the Geffen Contemporary.  I am not a fan of their artwork.

Along the way, we saw the L.A. City Hall (below) (I remember seeing it in "Dragnet" as a child.).

.

.

We also saw the Frank Gehry-designed Disney Concert Hall (below)... The new Broad Contemporary Museum of Art is being constructed just across the street.  It looks like it will be very amazing!

.

.

Later in our trip, we went hiking in Runyon Canyon above Hollywood (below).  I have never before

seen so many Matthew McConaughey/Pamela Anderson look-alikes!

.

.

Next we drove to Santa Monica (below) to see our good friends Victor and Tamira Kreider and enjoyed some grum at Cha-Cha-Chicken!

.

.

A few days later, we went to the San Diego Zoo with Mark and Mimi and my parents and we saw this guy (below):

What a trip!...  I love L.A.
